Vranken-Pommery celebrates elegance at Villa d’Este

of the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza  sponsored by the BMW Group

Maison Vranken-Pommery participated again this year in the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza sponsored by the BMW Group: a ten-year partnership bringing the most exclusive fashion show in the vintage car sector.

This year’s theme was “The Symphony of Engines – 90 Years of the Villa d’Este & BMW Automobiles Concorso d’Eleganza”, celebrating the long tradition of this important event that draws enthusiasts every year from all over the world.

In the magnificent setting of Hotel Villa d’Este, a world-famous icon of hospitality, on the terrace of Club Elegance Pommery overlooking the enchanting Lake Como, the protagonist was Royal Blu Sky, the trend-setting taste of Champagne served in large ice-filled goblets.

The opening aperitif featured the elegance, freshness and ample bouquet of aromas that distinguish Pommery Brut Apanage, an assemblage that privileges Chardonnay from a selection of 20 Crus in the most esteemed areas. Pommery Brut Apanage returned for the Saturday night cocktail, too.

In the Pommery Lounge in Villa Erba on Sunday, there was a special edition of Pop and, for the ladies, Pommery Brut Rosé Royal (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier), with its pale pink colour, fine, persistent perlage and evocative, fresh and lively taste was served.

Pommery Grand Cru Millésimé (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) was chosen for the final cocktail of this extraordinary event. This Champagne has an intense yellow hue with golden glints, and its flowery notes combine with hints of exotic fruit, citrus fruit and touches of apricot.

The guests were welcomed by Monsieur Paul-François Vranken, Founder and President of the Maison, and Madame Nathalie Vranken Pommery Monopole together with Brieuc Kremer the new CEO and the Vranken Pommery Italy team.  

The Villa D’Este Concorso D’Eleganza renews the values that exalt refinement and exclusiveness. Pommery Champagne finds a perfect backdrop in this beautiful place, immersed in some of the most charming scenery in Italy.
