Meliá Hotels International is a global leader of projects associated with Corporate Social Responsibility, and it shows this with “6-Star Hotel”, a project in partnership with AIPD (Italian Association of Persons with Down Syndrome), which will involve six young Down’s sufferers – three men and three women aged between 18 and 31 – collaborating with the Meliá Roma Aurelia Antica in carrying out the daily tasks in the hotel. This was made possible thanks to the enthusiasm with which Palmiro Noschese (Area Manager for Italy at Melia Hotels International and G. M. Meliá Roma Aurelia Antica) subscribed to the Meliá Hotels International philosophy, becoming personally involved in the creation of a dedicated initiative.
“6-Star Hotel” is also a docu-experience. Produced in collaboration with Magnolia, it will be broadcast in the late-evening slot on Rai 3 every Monday for 6 weeks, starting on 17 February.
This is the first time that Italian television has tackled the subject of disability, associating it with the working world with the objective of creating an authentic opportunity for collaborative integration.
