Ecobnb has acquired the leading German platform dedicated to sustainable tourism Bookitgreen to become the leading platform dedicated to eco-friendly hospitality in Europe.
Ecobnb was born about 8 years ago. It is the meeting point between responsible travelers and accommodations that invest in a better future. How? With clean energy and organic and zero km food. And also with the elimination of plastic and the promotion of soft mobility.
It all started with a great passion for travel and nature. Passion combined with the belief that the web could have been the crucial element to make tourism more eco-sustainable.
In recent years it has never stopped growing and innovating. It has also received international awards and recognitions. For example, that of the World Tourism Organization, a UN agency, for innovation in tourism.
Bookitgreen’s mission
Moritz Hintze and Phillip Fickl founded Bookitgreen in 2017 on the basis of an innovative concept, namely making sustainable holiday accommodation easily accessible and bookable online.
In 2019 it became the largest sustainable holiday accommodation platform in German-speaking countries. Today, most of the facilities on the platform are in Germany, Austria, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland.
