The Hotel Eden in Rome joins the Dorchester Collection

From Starwood’s Le Méridien to the Dorchester Collection. For a sum rumoured to be in the region of 105 million euro. We are speaking about the Hotel Eden in Rome, which at the end of September became part of the collection of hospitality jewels owned by the Sultan of Brunei.
A new life and a new page to be written, as always in the pursuit of excellence, for the luxury five-star hotel located a short stroll from the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. But before that happens, careful restoration will touch up its looks, valorizing its nineteenth-century atmosphere. At present, the timing and cost of the operation are not available. It is, however, certain that the Eden has always been destined to be great. It is one of the most prestigious and iconic hotels in the world, to use the words of Christopher Cowdray, CEO of the Dorchester Collection, who defined it as an important addition, complementing the style and locations of the other hotels in the chain. A not insignificant detail: with the purchase of the luxury five-star hotel in Rome, the number of Michelin stars collected by the Dorchester Collection rises to 10. One, conquered in 2012, by La Terrazza restaurant in the Eden and 3 respectively for The Dorchester in London, Plaza Athenée, and Le Meurice in Paris.
