Lefay Resort lands abroad and opens in the mountains of Switzerland

The peaks of Switzerland frame the new luxury resort that will be managed by Lefay Resorts & Residences. The picturesque scenery of Cras-Montana in fact marks the debut of the Italian brand abroad. And also in the new well-designed resort there will be a SPA that will offer the treatments that have made Lefay a synonym of luxury and innovation

Lefay Resorts & Residences has been chosen by the developer Aminona Luxury Resort and Village to manage its new luxury SPA Resort project located in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
The new resort marks not only the expansion abroad of the Lefay brand but also the Group’s first “management contract” project. That is, the management of structures owned by third-party investors on the basis of fees for the design, construction and management phases.
Aminona is located in the municipality of Crans-Montana, in the canton of Valais. It is a historic ski destination known worldwide for the uniqueness of its mountainous scenery and the state-of-the-art facilities.
The resort will overlook the panorama on which Monte Rosa, Monte Cervino and Mont Blanc stand out. It will also be directly connected to the lifts of the Crans-Montana ski area. This winds on 140 km of south-facing slopes, at an altitude between 1,500 and 3,000 meters.
The new Resort will offer 106 Suites and 12 chalets. Lefay SPA will reach an internal surface of over 4,000 square meters. It will feature indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna area, an adults only area and 21 treatment rooms. The wellness area will be inspired by the Lefay SPA Method philosophy and its energy concept based on the union of Classical Chinese Medicine and Western scientific research. Objective? The complete rebalancing of body, soul and spirit.
The culinary offer will be declined in 2 restaurants. It was conceived in accordance with the Lefay Vital Gourmet principles. Hence, space for the Mediterranean diet and the use of ingredients that follow the trend of the seasons. Furthermore, selection of Italian regional raw materials and privilege of local suppliers.
Design and sustainability
The design was carried out by the international Callison RTKL and IB + studios. It follows the guidelines of the Lefay concept, which is based on the new luxury and authenticity of Italian style.
The interior design, by the MKV studio, enhances local materials and their textures, such as rough stone, wood textures and burnished metals.
The resort will be powered by clean and renewable energy sources. For example, from a geothermal plant, photovoltaic panels and a biomass power plant.
