Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco reopens on 2 June with important news
19 new private suites and the completely renovated restaurant
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, the 2,000-hectare estate immersed in the bucolic landscapes of the Val d’Orcia in Tuscany, a UNESCO heritage site, is pleased to announce the official reopening of the resort scheduled for June 2, 2021 with the completely renovated Osteria La Canonica restaurant and a major extension of the property which includes the inauguration of 19 new private suites by the end of the summer.
In this way Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco will have a total of 42 suites, in addition to 11 welcoming and exclusive villas obtained from restored Tuscan farmhouses originating from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The new suites
The 19 new suites, whose interiors have also been designed by Teresa Bürgisser, interior designer from Castiglion del Bosco, will be located within a new complex, an extension of the Borgo – the heart of the property’s ancient farming community – and they will have at their disposal a heated semi-Olympic swimming pool with a panoramic view of Montalcino and the Val d’Orcia.
The Garden Suites will also have a private garden with exclusive entrance.
The modern furnishings blend with nineteenth-century antiques from ancient Tuscan residences and purchased by Chiara Ferragamo – co-founder of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco.

The reopening
To celebrate the official reopening, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco has chosen a symbolic date, June 2, the Italian Republic Day.
The resort also announces the major renovation of the Osteria La Canonica. It will have a larger equipped kitchen and a new breakfast format, and will therefore be open all day for indoor or outdoor dining.
Thanks to the authentic Tuscan cuisine of Executive Chef Matteo Temperini and the relaxed atmosphere of the Osteria, it will perfectly complete the recipe for a regenerating and intimate holiday.
