There is a new Italian reality in haute hôtellerie. It’s Relegance-The Unexpected Collection. The boutique hotel group was founded by Antonio Onorato. Today it boasts 2 jewels: Palazzina Grassi in Venice and Rosapetra Spa Resort in Cortina. But new acquisitions are planned as early as 2023

The segment of high-end Italian hotels is growing. And it does so with Relegance-The Unexpected Collection, the new brand that includes luxury boutique hotels.

Founded by Antonio Onorato, owner and CEO, the group boasts in its portfolio an icon such as Palazzina Grassi in Venice. The hotel marked a milestone in Italy. In fact, after 12 years, it is still the only 5 star to be entirely designed by Philippe Starck.

The famous Rosapetra Spa Resort in Cortina is now added to the collection. It is a 5-star boutique hotel close to the start of its first winter season under the Relegance banner.

The brand wants to focus on the luxury boutique hotel segment: 25 rooms and suites are available in Venice, 33 in Cortina.

Both properties have elements of natural prestige. For example, the view over the Grand Canal and the Tofane Massif. In addition to these is added the presence of points of additional attraction such as the famous restaurant and club in Venice or the generous Spa with indoor swimming pool in Cortina.

In the vision of the founder, the goal is to develop a collection of 5-star boutique hotels where each of the destinations is unique in its kind and in which the details make the difference.
