R Collection Hotels expands in two iconic mountain destinations, La Thuile and Courmayeur. Opening from December 1, 2023.
R Collection Hotels Group, owned by the Rocchi Family, announces its expansion into two different and prestigious mountain destinations with the official opening on 1 December 2023 of two leisure hotels: the five-star Montana Lodge & Spa in La Thuile and the five-star Grand Hotel Courmayeur Mont Blanc in Courmayeur.
The Group’s presence in the Italian landscape widens in renowned destinations for skiing enthusiasts and mountain lovers. The two new hotels, Montana Lodge & Spa and Grand Hotel Courmayeur, are now officially part of the R Collection Hotels brand, which currently is composed of 8 properties, 3 on Lake Como and one opening in 2025, 1 on the Ligurian Riviera in the Portofino Coast, and 3 in the city of Milan, for a total of 10 hotel properties.
An expansion that sees the Group increasingly penetrate the luxury segment by adding 5-star properties to its portfolio with a define strategic objective to continue ensuring 360-degree well-being for guests through the comfort of aesthetically pleasing and functional property designs, high-quality services, and a selected Food&Beverage and Wellness offerings. A key feature of all hotels is the strategic location. Montana Lodge & Spa, located close to the majestic Monte Ruitor, and the Grand Hotel Courmayeur are both situated in a panorama with unparalleled views of the peaks of Mont Blanc. The hotels are characterized by a design and scenic architecture in strong connection with the surrounding nature and mountains.
Montana Lodge & Spa
Montana Lodge & Spa, managed by the Group, features 55 rooms and is marked by a contemporary design and innovative materials within a charming traditional Valdostano touch. Two restaurants with refined Italian cuisine using the freshest local ingredients, the Bistrot and the Ottavio Lounge, in addition to a cellar with 300 labels for tastings. The ERRE SPA, a flagship feature of the Group, is present, featuring an indoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, Turkish bath, Vitarium, Private Spa area, and a gym with Technogym equipment.
Grand Hotel Courmayeur Mont Blanc
The Grand Hotel Courmayeur, managed and owned by the Group, has 72 elegantly furnished rooms enriched with precious contemporary furnishings. Two gastronomic proposals, La Fourchette restaurant and the Equinox lounge bar, offering a terrace overlooking Mont Blanc. The ERRE SPA covers 500 square meters with an indoor heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath, chromatic and sensory showers, private SPA, and a Technogym gym.
