It was a magical evening that just took place at the Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel for the opening of the 17th edition of the Rome Film Fest. Italian and international stars were captivated by the splendor of the artistic masterpieces kept by the hotel and by the perfection of the menu of chef Heinz Beck

It is not a film set but it is the atmosphere that welcomed movie and entertainment stars and a parterre of entrepreneurs at the Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

In fact, the 5-star celebrated the 17th edition of the Rome Film Fest with an exclusive dinner by Heinz Beck.

After the opening ceremony of the party, and after the screening of the first of the films included in the program, 250 guests reached the Rome Cavalieri. Here, on the panoramic rooftop, they were welcomed by the Managing Director Alessandro Cabella.

The dinner of the stars


Among the guests of the evening, the Oscar winner James Ivory, Melissa Newman, daughter of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, the cast of Il colibrì including the protagonists Pierfrancesco Favino, Kasia Smutniak and Bérénice Bejo. Also present were the singer Marco Mengoni, the President of the Cinema Foundation for Rome Gian Luca Farinelli, Paola Malanga, Artistic Director of the Rome Film Fest and of the Cinema Foundation for Rome, and Francesca Via, General Director.

Upon entering the hall that houses part of the works from the hotel’s private art collection, guests went up to the top floor for dinner. Clearly after a ritual photo on the red carpet and a short stop to admire the triptych by Tiepolo and the landscapes of Zais.

Beck, a great lover of quality cinema, delighted his guests with a special menu. In fact he has proposed with a selection of him iconic dishes of him. For example, amberjack with eggplant and chamomile, fine herb risotto with shrimp and turbot with peppers and green gazpacho.

All this was accompanied by the champagne of the Armand de Brignac house.

The event was organized in collaboration with the All Star Agency.
