The patrician residences of Lazio are open to music

dimore patrizie

The ancient and fascinating patrician residences of Lazio and the capital become “houses of art” with Domus Artium, a widespread series of chamber music concerts with internationally renowned soloists. An unmissable opportunity to admire the splendor and richness of environments and architecture that are not always easily accessible

For those who love art, beauty and classical music, the event not to be missed is Domus Artium. It is a prestigious international concert circuit that takes place in the patrician residences of Lazio and the capital.

The patrician residences, opened by the owners themselves, will be the setting for an unusual and qualified series of chamber music concerts with internationally renowned soloists.

Domus Artium brings together musicians, artists, dancers, chefs, curators, thinkers. Target? Collaborate with art patrons in Rome on a series of events and shows in their own homes and palaces, thus recreating that centuries-old tradition of noble families who have always hosted culture in their homes.

The review starts with some dates already scheduled but is destined to grow and multiply the appointments open to the public with ticketing.

Each appointment will be followed by convivial moments. Curated by Andrea Petrini, histrionic and irreverent gastro-cultural animator and talent scout, they will see the presence of well-known chefs from the national scene and beyond who will sign different taste experiences each time.

The calendar of events
The opening night saw “making music” together with Castello Odescalchi Nina Kotova and Jean-Yves Thibaudet.

Saturday 15 January 2022 the second location will be the Castello Ruspoli di Vignanello (VT), a medieval castle with one of the most important Renaissance gardens inside. Superstar violinist Hilary Hahn and pianist Andreas Haefliger on stage for a program of Beethoven sonatas for violin and piano.

Third location Saturday 5 February 2022 Palazzo Doria Pamphilj. The protagonist is the Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni, who has established himself as one of the most charismatic and versatile singers performing today; a rare recital of his favorite arias is scheduled.

Saturday 12 March 2022 Flavio Chigi will open the still almost secret Villa Chigi Sacchetti in the pine forest of Castel Fusano, a seventeenth-century jewel a few kilometers from Rome. On stage a true world legend of classical guitar Angel Romero.
