Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe cook for Diamonds Athuruga and Diamonds Thudufushi, Maldivian resorts
Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe (JRE) is an association of young restaurateurs who share with each other their talent and passion for the profession. The chefs of JRE combine high-quality culinary craftsmanship with passion for the European gastronomy and the local traditions and produce. With Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe everything revolves around sharing and propagating talent and passion. Last year has been the first experience of the cooperation between Planhotel Hospitality Group and the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe and it went so well that we both decided to repeat the experience.
From the 20th of December 2015, both resorts, Diamonds Athuruga and Diamonds Thudufushi, will be hosting a selection of 30 chefs (15 per island on a weekly rotation basis), all members of the JRE, who will be cooking for the winter season (20.12.2015 – 27.03.2016) different gourmet specialties.
In the “Overwater Restaurants” of both islands, a temporary restaurant will be created in partnership with the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe Chefs’. This restaurant is included for all the water villas’ guests, whereas all other guests may access the “Overwater Restaurant” upon availability and at an extra charge.
THE EXPERIENCE WITH JRE CHEFS
- One evening per week a Jeunes Restaurateurs Chef will prepare a Gourmet dinner, included for water villa guests and also for island guests depending upon availability.
- Jeunes Restaurateur Chefs will organize once per week a 2 hours free mini cooking class for a maximum of 10 people, which can be booked in advance during your stay. Do not miss this great culinary experience.
- During the week, a Chef will prepare an exclusive menu specially designed by JRE for Diamonds Resorts.
