Indeed in the second half of the 18th century, it was Gian Galeazzo Serbelloni who gave the villa its current appearance: the grand building flanked by two side wings, the large staircase, the marble balconies, the blue shutters – an homage to the lake waters – and the beautiful Italian garden, divided into 4 elegant parterres bursting with flowers, with parkland dotted with ferns and sweet-smelling trees sloping up towards the mountain.

The villa boasts some examples of fine furniture, including the bed slept in by Napoleon and his wife Joséphine de Beauharnais. The collections can be visited companied by a family member.
