Hotel Paradiso, in Paris hospitality meets cinema

Hotel Paradiso

The Hotel Paradiso opens in Paris,
the first cinema-hotel in the world where every cinephile
can enjoy a unique experience in their own room.
A large screen, a vast catalog to choose from, infinite emotions.

In 1988, fans of the Seventh Art were thrilled in front of ‘Cinema Paradiso’, an Oscar-winning film by Giuseppe Tornatore. Today, in a 2021 in which entering a movie theater is a desire that is slow to come true, it is the hotel industry and in particular the Hotel Paradiso that make the eyes of cinephiles shine. Recently opened, it is located in Paris at 135 Boulevard Diderot and is the first cinema-hotel in the world.Sleeping at the 34 guest rooms and 2 suites, in which to sleep, play, but most importantly, watch films on the giant screen in each room and in the private screening room in each of the suite.

Just think that the screen is even bigger than the bed and that in every room there is a projector and a tablet from which not only to choose what to watch but also to adjust the music and the intensity of the lights. The ultimate in relaxation? Watch your own projection immersed in the bubbles of the bathtub.

Hotel Paradiso

Cinema 100%

Staying at the Hotel Pardiso means immersing yourself in the vibrant world of cinema and experiencing a place like no other, where cinema is truly a way of life. Meticulously decorated by Alix Thomsen and fully euipped, the 34 guest Paradiso rooms and 2 suites were designed as the ultimate cinema den you’ve always dreamt of. All the rooms and suites are equipped with high-tech projectors, tablets to start movies, music and turn down the lights. In some, you can also look at the screen from the bathtub. Every detail recalls the seventh art.

The velvet armchairs, the rough concrete walls with old posters, scenes of films revisited by the artist Ruben Brulat, the dvd collection in the corridors. Food and entertainment offer are also cinema format: from your room you can order delivery foods, small dishes from Bob’s Juice Bar and of course, popcorn.

If all this were still not enough, the Hotel Paradiso never ceases to surprise…and really brings you a little closer to Paradise. Perched on the hotel rooftop, the terrace offers unobstructed views over Paris. They say that dreams are priceless, but here they can come true. The price for one night? Definitely affordable, starting at 100 euros.

A place where the cinema becomes private but also an object of sharing, it is no coincidence that in the most classic tradition of the Ville Lumière there is a café inside the hotel. A space with a literary flavor where you can meet to comment on the films, where a passion becomes an encounter.

Hotel Paradiso

Hotel Paradiso, ciak!

While waiting for the reopening of the most beautiful movie theaters in Europe, you can pamper yourself with a stay here. In fact, it could become the ideal destination for all those who during the pandemic are abstinent from an author’s ‘ciak’. Hotel Paradiso comes to make the hospitality sector of the French capital shine at a very difficult time for tourism, the project is by brothers Nathanaël and Elisha Karmit, owners of the production company MK2. Opened in March 2021, Hotel Paradiso came to light after 15 years of work and thanks to the collaboration with a large team (pardon, the cast) of professionals, including architects Daniel Vaniche and Paula Castro (Dvvd), decorator Alix Thomsen, art director Sarah Kahn, lighting designer Philippe Collet, artists such as JR and Christian Boltanski, musician and singer Woodkid and stylist Alexandre Mattiussi, whose various worlds intersect with a passion for cinema.

The name is a clear homage to New Cinema Paradiso by Giuseppe Tornatore, the favorite of Nathanaël Karmitz’s.
