Summer at the spa, 6 wellness ideas and events

Tuscany, the emblem of wellness offerings, with Chianciano, Saturnia and Montecatini, South Tyrol with Merano,
Brianza in Lombardy and even New York. Here are 6 ideas for indulging in relaxation and fun.
Wellness treatments, music, cinema, good food and events all summer long.

Tuscany and the magic of the evening, including golden reflections on the water, music and flavors for the palate at Terme di Chianciano or the 120 hectares of Saturnia, where a thousand-year-old spring springs at the foot of a medieval village. A beach umbrella and a trip to a city of art, starting in Montecatini Terme. The mountains of South Tyrol, for a stay that combines aesthetics and medicine. The glamour of the Big Apple and cutting-edge technology, with wearable devices that provide a premium wellness experience. Again, 5,000 square meters dedicated to relaxation enclosed in a modern facility nestled in the greenery of Brianza. The spa is a great solution for those looking for an alternative to the classic beach, mountain or lake vacation, under the banner of wellness, among special events, music and taste.

1 Terme di Chianciano

Terme di Chianciano is banking on the golden hour and suggestions of twilight: the complex, located in Tuscany between Valdichiana and Val d’Orcia, a Unesco World Heritage Site, is offering a special evening opening. Until 10 p.m. throughout the summer, guests can immerse themselves in the regenerating Theia Thermal Pools and discover the holistic well-being of the Sensory Spa, let themselves be wrapped in a soft bathrobe and sip a drink on a lounger.

Every Saturday with the “Baths by Night” entrance, at the Theia Thermal Pools, which will remain open until midnight for the occasion, you can enjoy an apericena in your bathrobe and listen to live music, while every Thursday in August the sunset at the Theia Thermal Pools will be tinged with musical notes, with live sax sessions (Aug. 17-24-31) and DJ sets (Aug. 10). The poolside aperitif is a must. For those who choose August Ferragosto at Terme di Chianciano, the Theia Thermal Pools will offer wellness and and fun until 11 p.m. with DJ sets and appetizers to be enjoyed poolside.

At the Terme Sensoriali on August 26 and September 23, on the other hand, the Tasting Night” events will be staged, the initiative that combines wellness with flavor, inviting people to discover Tuscan gastronomy, alternating relaxation in the thermal waters with moments dedicated to naturopathy and oriental philosophy.

2 Terme di Saturnia

The scents and silences of the Maremma are the setting for Saturnia‘s 20,000 square meters dedicated to wellness. On the occasion of Ferragosto 2023, the thermal park offers a special night dedicated to fun and wellness until 1 a.m.: entrance from 8 p.m. followed by live performance “Klaus Lessmann” Jazz Quartet, acrobatic show by Mariateresa Enti Latifa and choreography with fire by “Lucignolo e il Fuoco.” Until 10 p.m., it is possible to taste Maremma’s excellent wines from “La Maliosa” and “Erik Banti” estates.

Even the little ones are welcome, with two pools entirely dedicated and with the “Kids free” offer, which provides free admission up to 11 years old (one for each paying adult).

Diving into the waters of the Thermal Park pools is a special moment to regain new energy and smooth skin, thanks to the benefits of a unique water that has been flowing continuously from the heart of the earth inside a crater for more than 3,000 years, at a constant temperature of 37.5°C.

3 Palazzo BelVedere

Also in Tuscany, more precisely in Montecatini Terme, included as early as 2021 among the Great Spa Towns of Europe by Unesco, stands Palazzo BelVedere: opened last year and, since its inception, deeply connected with the territory to which it belongs, it combines the spa experience with proposals involving the surroundings, from the sea to the cities. The result is a vacation that combines spa relaxation, fun and even a day at the beach.

With the BV Estate | Mare package: a solar wellness vacation, valid until September 21, you have a reserved umbrella at Bagno Belvedere in Forte dei Marmi, about sixty kilometers from Montecatini Terme. Back at Palazzo BelVedere, you can indulge with a spa treatment (one per day is included) and relax in the hotel’s Circular Garden or on its terrace, ending with a special dinner at the NO | MORE bistro.

For those who want to learn more about Tuscany, there’s the BV | Speciale Palio di Siena package: two experiences included, the Palio di Siena dell’Assunta (August 16) and a visit to Montalcino, in the heart of the Val D’Orcia nature park. Included in the proposal are six treatments at the Home SPA, entrance to the wet area under the expert guidance of a personal trainer, and gourmet dinner at the MORE | NO restaurant.

4 Terme Merano

For those who love the mountains, Hotel Terme Merano is perfect, in the heart of South Tyrol: it is a wellness destination of excellence that offers three exclusive spaces dedicated to relaxation, places in which to recharge the batteries and rediscover the energy and face everyday life in a new light. The Sky Spa is a 3,200 m2 space with a 360° view of Merano and the surrounding mountains with an infinity pool, hot tubs, sauna, relaxation area and the 1,250 m2 Garden Spa at garden level with an indoor and outdoor pool.

Alongside the wellness offer, the hotel has a Medical Spa: led by prof. Alessandro Peracchi offers holistic treatments based on the principles of complementary and alternative medicine which, by applying natural methods, will help guests regain all-round psycho-physical well-being. Among the new treatments, the one dedicated to the reduction of wrinkles and cellulite with Guna-Heel should be noted: in a natural and effective way, it intervenes to plump up and smooth out wrinkles on the face, neck and décolleté, firm the breast tissue and reduce skin blemishes with injections of collagen and multi-component and multi-target drugs.

The 4 days/3 nights In Full Health package includes a 50-minute medical checkup, 3 nights in a design room, buffet breakfast served until 11, à la carte evening menu with wellness recipes and seasonal specialities, access to the Sky Spa and the Garden Spa, entrance to and use of the pools of the Terme Merano, which can be reached directly via a tunnel that can be walked through in a bathrobe and parking space in the hotel garage.

5 Qc Terme Ny

Qc Terme boasts a rich portfolio of destinations: you can choose between Garda, Bormio, San Pellegrino Terme, Rome Fiumicino, Pré Saint Didier and Mont Blanc in Val D’Aosta, Val di Fassa, Milan, Turin, Chamonix in France and even New York.

Precisely in the Big Apple, the spa group offers a payment solution via wearable devices thanks to the partnership with the Adyen financial technology platform: spa guests will be able to pay and access additional services and products with waterproof digital bracelets that work like real devices payment methods. Thanks to NFC technology, these devices allow you to pay directly from your wrist.

This is an innovative tool as customers of spas often do not have their phone or card available while they move around the centre. With this new technology, inside Qc Ny it will now be possible to buy food and drinks directly and access additional services such as massages.

6 Monticello Spa

For those who prefer to stay close, perhaps stay in Milan, the right address is Brianza. Large outdoor pools with refreshing waters, the poolside chiringuito, the outdoor solarium, the new wellness treatments and ceremonies, as well as a rich calendar of events make
