Milan

For a metropolitan Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the address is Ceresio 7 Pools & Restaurant. Guests are welcomed  into a cosmopolitan setting where the minimal-chic style blends with two spectacular pools, a breathtaking vista over the ultra-modern skyscrapers of Milan and the sparkling creativity of chef Elio Sironi.

To celebrate the Christmas holidays, chef Sironi proposes no fewer than four different menus. Christmas menu starting from € 85 per person, and for New Year’s Eve, € 230 per person (drinks not included).

 

Seregno (Milan)

In an ancient courtyard in a quiet part of Seregno (on the outskirts of Milan), Pomiroeu restaurant has been delighting curious guests and food enthusiasts alike for twenty-five years with ever-evolving proposals by the renowned chef Giancarlo Morelli.

On the occasion of the most eagerly-awaited parties of the year, chef Morelli amazes with flavours, colours and aromas contained in new menus for an exclusive gourmet experience. Christmas lunch will feature the obligatory traditional cappelletti in broth and roast capon, but also fish dishes. Pomiroeu reserves the original take-away service.

Christmas menu € 140 per person, New Year’s tasting menu € 160 per person (service charge and drinks not included).

Monza

At the Hotel de la Ville, a historic residence in front of the majestic Villa Reale in Monza, the celebrations begin early and conclude on Sunday 22 December with an elegant brunch to be shared with friends and family. In the refined surroundings of the Derby Grill restaurant and the new Veranda, lovers of fine dining can choose between the two special party menus, ‘Social lunch’ and ‘Gala dinner’, each with 4 courses in which flavours and local traditions are combined with creative culinary innovations.

Both gastronomic proposals conclude with artisanal panettone served with citrus caramel, zabaglione and dark chocolate ice cream.

Room rates € 150 per night – Party menus starting from € 70 per person.

Sandigliano (Biella)

Santo Stefano Spa Relais in Sandigliano, just a few minutes from the centre of Biella, is an oasis of absolute relaxation and a departure point for setting off on the discovery of atmospheric hamlets and events scheduled for the Christmas period. Guests can enjoy the experience of sleeping in a finely restored former country farmhouse.

Here, guests can be pampered with the wide range of treatments and natural rituals in the first Nuxe Spa in Italy. For those who wish to complete the travel experience by exploring the territory with a full immersion in the Christmas atmosphere, not far away lies the picturesque market of the angels of Sordevolo, an Alpine village that is garbed in a profusion of lights and decorations for this season, featuring four large bamboo angels. Then there is the unmissable visit to the medieval village Ricetto di Candelo, which is transformed into the ‘Village of Santa Claus’ for the whole month of December.

Calatabiano (Taormina)

In the rural village of Calatabiano, not far from Taormina and the picturesque snowy peak of Mt. Etna, lies the Castle of San Marco, a Baroque residence dating from the late seventeenth century. To warm up the winter weekends, try the ‘Winter Lounge’, a proposal designed to recreate a relaxing atmosphere, with family or friends. The package, for one or two nights, includes a wine aperitif to sample the excellent local wines, a traditional gourmet dinner and access to the spa.

And for the New Year, the formula of one to three nights will allow you to celebrate the start of the year with a rich brunch and a relaxing wellness treatment.

‘Winter Lounge’ package rates start from € 300 per room, New Year offer starts from € 240.

 

Posillipo

On the beach of Posillipo Bay, Palazzo Petrucci Ristorante welcomes guests into a picture postcard setting: the view from the tables encompasses the historic Palazzo Donn’Anna, with the island of Capri, Vesuvius and the Sorrento peninsula in the background.

On the occasion of the festivities, between lights and colourful decorations, gourmand palates can sample the innovative dishes of chef Scarallo designed for lunch on 25 December and the fabulous New Year’s Eve dinner, which will both feature the traditional ‘Christmas minestrone’ and the iconic Neapolitan ‘Roccocò’ dessert, with a robust, spicy flavour in its 2020 version.

Christmas menu € 180 per person including drinks, New Year’s Eve dinner € 350 per person, drinks not included.

 

Langhe – Monferrato

Duchessa Margherita, in Langa Monregalese, is a historic 19th-century residence from which you can admire the elliptical dome of the Vicoforte Sanctuary. With the arrival of the holidays, special proposals have been created to allow guests experience a holiday immersed in history.

And so Christmas and the New Year will be characterized by olde worlde charm and the local gastronomic specialities thanks to exclusive culinary experiences. For those who prefer the snow-covered slopes of the nearby skiing district, a special package has been designed, ‘Romantic weekend on the snow’, which includes a daily ski pass for two people.

‘Christmas lunch’ package € 150 per person, drinks included, ‘New Year 2020’ stay € 145 per person, including dinner; ‘Romantic weekend on the snow’ € 95 per person.

 

Bouches du Rhone (France)

In the south of France, in the characteristic department of Bouches du Rhone, at the foot of the Massif of Sainte Baume and Mount Garlaban, in La Magdeleine – Mathias Dandine, everything is ready to help guests experience a Bon Noël in the finest Provence tradition.

Christmas lights and decorations dress this 18th-century country residence of timeless charm for the party. It consists of 20 rooms and suites, all furnished in the Provencal style, and an elegant restaurant, and for some months now it has been home to the renowned chef Mathias Dandine.

For a culinary full immersion to discover the traditional delicacies of this land, on Christmas Eve chef Dandine will serve an ample selection of gourmet specialities with more traditional flavours. And to celebrate New Year’s Eve, a dinner in great style will be enlivened by live music and the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive brunch on New Year’s Day.
