Ca ‘di Dio is the new luxury hotel in Venice

Ca’ di Dio

Ca ‘di Dio opens, the new luxury hotel bearing the signature of the Patricia Urquiola studio. After Rome and Taormina, Venice welcomes the fourth hotel in the VRetreats collection, a VOIhotels brand. Historic houses that have a strong personality interwoven with Italian history, art and culture and express in every detail the deep bond with the territory. A philosophy of hospitality with a strong international vocation and luxury services

After Rome and Taormina, Ca ‘di Dio di Venezia is the latest luxury hotel in the VRetreats collection, a VOIhotels brand. Despite the complexities of recent years, the hotel started in the spring of 2019 and always continued, is managed by Alpitour World.

Ca ‘di Dio is located in the Castello district along the Riva degli Schiavoni.

In the past it was a refuge for pilgrims and women in difficulty. Today it has become a refined hotel designed by Patricia Urquiola, an internationally renowned architect and interior designer.

The project is a hymn to Venice. In fact, the environments and details celebrate the materials, colors and suggestions of a city that lives on water. The palette is sober and soft, with light shades and transparencies that recall the reflections of the lagoon.

A style for two souls
Each design element approaches the existing lines, enhancing them. Thus was born a harmonious union between the rigor of the initial structure and the refinement of the noble palaces, the two souls of Ca ‘di Dio, the same ones that run through Venice.

Particular attention was paid to the common areas. The strong sense of welcome is perceived from the moment you enter the Lobby. Originally the church is embellished with 14,000 Murano glass crystals. They give life to the 3 sails of the precious chandelier.

The poetics of Ca ‘di Dio then continues in the Reading Room, the Alchemia bar and in the 2 hotel restaurants, Essentia and Vero.

Real gems are the 2 roof terraces from which to admire all of Venice and the 3 gardens obtained from the courtyards.

Ca ‘di Dio has 66 rooms, including 57 Suites and 9 Deluxe. Most overlook the lagoon, with views of the island of San Giorgio and Rio Ca ‘di Dio.

The renovation project also placed emphasis on sustainability. In fact, investments have been made to equip the structure with systems and infrastructures to limit the environmental impact.
