The Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts group has expanded its portfolio with new entries
in China, Cuba, Greece and Malaysia

 

Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts is continuing its expansion with the goal of offering guests new wellness experiences, urban adventures and romantic getaways immersed in history and nature.

Enchanting China
January saw the opening of Angsana Zhuhai Phoenix Bay located along Phoenix Bay. The hotel is the ideal retreat for those looking for close contact with nature. Or for exploring the seaside city of Zhuhai, taking part in the many water activities on offer, or admiring the gorgeous tropical fish. Guests of the hotel can be pampered in the Angsana spa and recharge their batteries in the rooms and suites with panoramic ocean views. Opening in March is Angsana Xishuangbanna, with fabulous grounds, elegant rooms and villas and a new wellness centre covering 8,400 m2 with 21 outdoor pools, 5 spa pavilions and the Spring Forest guaranteeing a soothing holistic spa experience.
May sees the opening of Banyan Tree Anji in the green Anji hills amid the lush bamboo forests. The resort, consisting of 151 rooms, suites and modern villas, is ideal for a relaxing break far from the hectic metropolis. The hotel boasts a spectacular panoramic view of the mountain landscape and comprises the Banyan Tree Spa, meeting and function rooms, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, a bar and 2 restaurants. Also in May, Dhawa Jinshanling is opening at the feet of the legendary Great Wall of Jinshanling near Beijing. Its 200 rooms, called Cocoons, are furnished in contemporary style and have views of the mountains and the private gardens.
Magical Malaysia
Coming in June to the heart of the Golden Triangle in Malaysia’s capital is Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. The hotel has 55 rooms and suites and offers a fabulous a 360° panoramic vista in the Vertigo Bar, tasty culinary specialities in the Horizon Grill and signature massages in the Banyan Tree Spa. Also in Kuala Lumpur, August will see the Pavilion Hotel by Banyan Tree open near the business and shopping district, with 325 rooms and suites.
Mediterranean Corfu
Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts plans to open its first resort in Europe in April 2018: Angsana Corfu in Greece. Near the village of Benitses, the hotel has 199 rooms and bungalows with sea and mountain views. The hotel complex will house the island’s biggest spa, with 12 wellness treatment rooms, a huge infinity pool and 4 panoramic spa pavilions.
Exotic Cuba
Starting in August 2018, Banyan Tree is also expanding to Cuba, opening the Angsana Cayo Santa Maria. The resort, on an unspoilt island off the northern coast, offers 204 rooms with sea views for a perfect romantic getaway.
