The Chedi Andermatt, Switzerland’s most exclusive design hotel, is pleased to announce that they are the official partner of inspiring classical music festival, ‘The Andermatt Swiss Alps Classics’, taking place from 22 June to 1 July 2018 in the charming Ursern Valley
Made for those who share a passion for high calibre classical music and opera, the exclusive festival showcases world-renowned artists performing in an intimate setting with the exceptional backdrop of the Swiss Alps. Undoubtedly one of Switzerland’s most unique music festivals, ‘Andermatt Swiss Alps Classics’ will take place at various locations in and around Andermatt, and The Chedi Andermatt invites guests to experience the festival as well as the luxurious comfort of its exquisite rooms and suites.
Leading the festival is international pianist Lang Lang, who has played at prestigious events and venues all over the world. The hotel welcomes the acclaimed musician as a guest at the festival this summer, along with other musicians from across the globe, to provide a truly diverse music offering.
The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Family’ and to celebrate this many family duos will be joining the festival. Starting with the internationally known French piano duo, sisters Katia and Marielle Labéque. Russian mother and son, pianist and violinist-violist, Elena Bashkirova and Michael Barenboim will play with Clemens, Dominik and Benedikt Hellsberg. Then performing with the orchestra Wiener Akademie are Austrian father and son duo, Hans & Martin Haselböck.
Lang Lang will be playing on 30 June 2018 at theater(uri) in Altdorf and The Chedi Andermatt have put together an exclusive VIP package for guests wanting to attend Lang’s performance. It includes the concert ticket, overnight stay in a Deluxe Suite, transfer to and from the concert, a welcome cocktail before the concert and following his performance guests of The Chedi Andermatt can also enjoy an exclusive Gala-Dinner with Lang Lang.
