On 20 and 21 September 2020 Alassio will host the eighth edition of the most important Ligurian event in the Champagne and Ho.Re.Ca.

And therefore it is no coincidence that it is Alassio, a Ligurian town overlooking the sea, to host the new edition of “A sea of Champagne“, organized by the Macramé Consortium – Dire Fare Alimentare, to which the best producers of Champagne also meet year give an appointment to the audience of enthusiasts, experts, wine lovers.
On 20 and 21 September the Diana Grand Hotel in Alassio will host two days dedicated to wine excellences and the best local products. The hotel in its magnificent Diana Terrace will host the Gala Night, the opening night.
There will be Masterclasses with tastings, held by expert connoisseurs of the Champagne universe.
The heart of the event will be Champagne tastings at the counters and gastronomic excellences at the food area. This eighth edition marks a novelty: in the schedule there are the performances of internationally renowned bartenders ready to tell and to taste their cocktail proposals designed precisely starting from a bottle of champagne.
And then there will be advice on how to serve champagne, food combinations, but, above all, how to optimally preserve a bottle of Champagne.
Furthermore, A Sea of Champagne has a vocation rooted since the first edition, that of wanting to tell a territory, together with its best protagonists.
In this case, the restaurateurs, wine bars and all those businesses that will choose to dress up for the occasion in some way.

About Alassio
Alassio is one of the most famous destinations of the Ligurian Riviera. Legend has it that the toponym Alassio derives from the name of Adelasia, daughter of Emperor Otto I, who fled with a squire named Aleramo to settle on the hills of Alaxio, today’s Alassio.
The alleys that in the 1950s hosted the Nobel Prize writer Ernest Hemingway among the many artistic personalities.
The American journalist and writer together with the painter Mario Berrino created one of the most famous works of the city: Il muretto.
A work that collects the signatures of established characters who have passed (or pass) in the city. The first three signed tiles were placed almost secretly at the dawn of 1953.
Now there are almost 1000 signed tiles. Alassio is a city that offers so much to visit and more, in fact the city is also known for its characteristic beaches with very fine, dust-free gray-white sand, which extend for about four kilometers, joining the seaside village of the wonderful Laigueglia.
