Cathay Pacific: in 2015, departures from Rome and Milan by Boeing 777-300ER

Cathay Pacific is one of the youngest and most modern airlines in the world, with an impressive total of 146 aircraft, including 43 77-300ERs and 12 77-300s. It has announced some great news for the Italian market for 2015. From next 2 January, Boeing 777-300ERs will also be plying the Rome Fiumicino–Hong Kong route. This means that the company’s top of the range aircraft will be available from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa, and will guarantee that Cathay Pacific passengers headed for Hong Kong, Asia and the Pacific receive 5-star service from the best airline in the world – an accolade it has received no less than 4 times, voted for by some 18 million people.
Thanks to the introduction of Boeings to replace the Airbus 340-300, Cathay Pacific will offer its passengers the best airplanes in the category, with a larger number of seats on board: totalling 340 instead of 265, increasing capacity by almost 30%. The increase is spread over the 3 passenger classes available from Rome: from 26 to 40 seats in Business Class, from 28 to 32 seats in Premium Economy, and from 211 to 268 seats in Economy Class. From January 2015 the Rome–Hong Kong connection by Boeing 777-300ER will depart 4 times a week, becoming a daily service in June 2015. With the introduction of the Boeing 777-300 ER, a champion of the skies, on the Rome–Hong Kong route, Italy will once again play a leading role in the network of airlines and Rome will come into line with Milan in offering the new generation of Business and Economy Class. As Silvia Tagliaferri, Sales & Marketing Manager of Cathay Pacific Airways for Italy and Malta emphasized, this is in preparation for a pivotal 2015. “While EXPO means an increase in traffic to and from Milan, especially with the major Asian destinations, the entire country will reap the benefits and, in this context, Rome will be a strategic transit node”.
The best way to appreciate the Cathay Pacific Airways world is to take advantage of the “Gioca d’anticipo” (Ahead of the Game) promotion and fly from Rome to Hong Kong aboard a Boeing 777-300 ER, and from there continue on to one of the most beautiful destinations in the Cathay Pacific network, with fares starting from 744 euro. Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, New Zealand, Australia and the Fiji Islands, as well as several cities in China, are the destinations included in the promotion. The offer, which can be purchased until 31 October for travelling between 1 January and 31 March 2015, is also available from Milan Malpensa.
