This is also confirmed by the bookings to the Bel Paese of Belvilla by OYO customers, a company among the main players in the world of holiday home rentals.
For the period of July and August, bookings increased by 16% compared to 2021 and by 60% compared to 2020.
In the months of July and August of 2022, as last year, the Italian regions most appreciated by international tourists are above all those of Central Italy and the areas of Italian lakes. The increase in bookings compared to 2021: + 8% in Tuscany, + 32% at the lakes and + 8% in Umbria. Finally, the Marche maintains the good level of bookings achieved last year.
Last year Sicily had earned the 5th place among the Italian destinations with the most bookings by foreigners. Instead this year it is Emilia-Romagna that takes its place with 27% more bookings.
