From 20 to 22 November the Tuscan capital will host WIM 2023 – We Inspire Memories. A networking event and much more: a platform for the exchange of ideas where the main players they will be able to discuss, attend the presentation of market research, define strategies, find inspiration. A sector, which in Italy is worth over 15 billion euros and has a growth forecast of +9.5%.
Florence returns to being the capital of tourism, private events and the Italian wedding industry. In fact, from 20 to 22 November the Tuscan capital will host “WIM 2023 – We Inspire Memories”.
The event, now in its 5th edition, is organized by Tommaso Corsini of Corsini Events with the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, the Tuscany Region, the Municipality of Florence and the Florence Chamber of Commerce and the trade association Federmep.
It is also in collaboration as Destination Host with Destination Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau.
For the 2023 edition WIM presents itself with a renewed look: it becomes increasingly international with the presence of professionals from Europe, Asia and the USA, thus expanding its range of action. The objective of the event is to create relationships between operators in the sector, across the entire supply chain.
The participants, professionals from the world of events and all the most important Italian hotel chains and locations, as well as a selection of service companies from the world of events, will be able to get to know each other, live exclusive experiences and assist in the market research that some experts have developed specifically for WIM.
In fact, Italy confirms itself as a favorite destination for weddings, event production, private and corporate events for a global-based audience. Tuscany, with its scenic and artistic beauties, confirms itself as the Italian region most requested by foreign couples, with 21% of the total.
The locations in which the event will take place are the most significant in the city. For example, the Chamber of Commerce, Palazzo Gondi and Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte.
At WIM 2023 – We Inspire Memories, companies will be able to discover the Florentine territory through experiential activities. As well as attending conferences and activities held by professionals from every sector. Furthermore, during the event some unpublished market research will also be presented which will represent some assessments of the economic impact of the same on the national territory.
An event not to be missed for a sector, that of weddings, with large numbers and with a growth forecast for the coming years too. In 2022, Italy was the scene of over 11 thousand foreign marriages. In fact, more and more international travelers are choosing the peninsula to celebrate their wedding.
The numbers – Private events
Industry estimates attribute a value of over 15 billion euros to the private events market for the Italian system. Only for the province of Florence has the impact of this market never been carefully measured. However, some market estimates attribute a value of over 500 million euros to private events developed in the Florentine region.
