Until 12 June BASE hosts the second edition of “We Will Design”.

It is an experimental laboratory of imagination and inclusion. In fact, design practices and experiences become tools for reading – and sometimes resolving – the many contradictions of our present.

There are many themes explored in the second edition of “We Will Design” which is developed through 3 macro projects – Temporary home, Exhibit, They will design.

• Temporary home: casaBASE – BASE’s guesthouse – is transformed again this year into a sui generis residence. Five international designers from France, Germany, England, Holland and Italy are called to develop their projects and work on new ways of living the future.
• Exhibit: a large-scale research space. It brings together projects and installations curated by Italian and international universities, multidisciplinary collectives, designers and young talents to reflect on new learning approaches, grappling with the challenges of our time.
• They Will Design: a change of perspective from “We” to “They”, a space where young people take power to explore and expose their idea of ​​the future, imagining a new concept of “institution” starting from the fantastic dimension.

About BASE 

BASE is a project of innovation and cultural contamination, in the heart of the Tortona area, in Milan. BASE is a creative hub of international scope and a center for research, experimentation, production and co-production of cultural initiatives with a high social value.
