The focus of Hotel 2023 will be the themes of sustainability, human resources and, of course, food. And there will be many successful examples to find new inspiration. Also unmissable is the Hotel Sustainability Award. Appointment in Bolzano from 23 to 26 October

 

Hotel 2023, the international hotel and restaurant trade fair, will take place at the Bolzano Fair from 23 to 26 October. It is a consolidated event for professionals in the hotel sector. In fact, it is an opportunity to learn about the latest innovations that companies and the market are offering and the trends to follow in order to better satisfy customer needs and contribute to making the sector increasingly greener.

In fact, the theme of sustainability will be at the center of attention, also and above all in the rich program of the Hotel Connects Stage which will represent one of the key places of the event.

Together of course with the Fiera Messe H1 Eventspace which will host the main networking moments.

There are 2 events not to be missed on the afternoon of Tuesday 24 October, a day entirely dedicated to food. That is, 2 talks on the Hotel Connects Stage, both with starred and visionary chefs.

The first, at 3.00 pm, will be with Michele Lazzarini. The owner of the “Contrada Bricconi” restaurant in the province of Bergamo will share with the public – together with his partner Giacomo Perletti – the innovative model of agriculture and excellent catering that has made their restaurant a unique environment.

That is, capable of transforming the mountain into a pole of economic growth, enhancing local culture and biodiversity.

The second talk, at 3.45 pm, will be with Stefano Pinciaroli, executive chef of the renowned PS restaurant at “Villa Petriolo”, in the province of Florence, and Daniele Nannetti, owner and manager of the Villa. Together they will tell how this unique structure has successfully integrated agricultural production, visitor well-being and haute cuisine. They will also demonstrate that sustainability can be the central objective of successful agri-tourism projects.

Focus on human resources
Instead, on October 26th the focus will be on the topic of human resources. In fact, developing the ability to be attractive to customers is among the fundamental tasks of those who work in hospitality.

But today it is no longer enough. The job market has indeed evolved. It therefore requires developing similar skills also towards staff. Objective? Ensuring that they understand, appreciate and embrace the hotel’s mission with conviction.

At 10.30am Piergiorgio Mosconi, hotel tourism consultant and Giovanni Mioni, general manager of the Hotel Mioni e Pezzato in Abano Terme will take the stage. They will address the issue both from a technical point of view, with indications on how to transform personnel from a cost into an investment, and from an operational point of view.

The Oscar for sustainable hospitality
The Hotel Sustainability Award will be awarded on the evening of Monday 23 October. In fact, the winners in the 4 categories (Sustainable Technology, Circular Product Design, Sustainable Food & Drinks and Sustainable Tourism Pioneers powered by IDM) will go on stage to receive the awards for their commitment to sustainability.
