Now at its seventh edition, the ceremony for the 2016 Hospitality Awards, which was held on the occasion of the NF Travel & Technology Event in Bergamo, achieved great success. The prize giving evening took place last 29 September in the splendid setting of the Best Western Villa Appiani. Three categories of awards were assigned to the Italian hotel groups who gained the most distinction over the last 5 years, in terms of ‘Development and Investment’, ‘Strategy and Innovation’, and ‘Concept and Design’. The awards were presented by the architect Simone Micheli. Among the awards, particular emphasis was placed on the Development and Investment category, in which Piazza di Spagna View triumphed by winning this important recognition.
The Group distinguished itself in relation to acquisitions, mergers and expansion into new markets, and the award was accepted by its President, Mauro Piccini. Piazza di Spagna View’s winning philosophy lies in its concepts of holiday, beauty, luxury and love for life in hospitality format, in the most exclusive destinations in Italy and abroad.
The other award winners
- Luca Boccato, CEO of HNH Hotels & Resorts, won the Strategy & Innovation category. The group stood out for successful expertise areas and best management practices.
- AllegroItalia Hotels & Resort, represented by their President Piergiorgio Mangialardi, took the prize in the Concept & Design category. The group was awarded for its new concepts, harmonious and well-designed projects, and commercial sustainability.
The commission assigned a special prize, Hotel Expert of the year 2016, to Giorgio Palmucci, President of Aica Confindustria Alberghi.
