Cogne Valley is also considered a paradise by fans of snowshoe trekking, an ideal way to get in touch with nature in absolute silence. Downhill skiing enthusiasts can pit their skills in a small, familiar area that offers the opportunity to ski on both easy slopes and very technical ones without having to queue for ski lifts. And lovers of extreme sports can devote themselves to ice climbing, a sport for which Cogne is famous all over the world on account of the many enchanting frozen waterfalls to be found in Italy’s oldest National Park.
The Eco Wellness Hotel Notre Maison offer includes a snowshoe excursion to explore the mines for guests who choose to spend the winter holiday at the hotel. Guests will be accompanied by a guide on the trek to the mining site of Costa del Pino where they can tour the tunnels inside the magnetite mine.
