EcoWorldHotel

EcoWorldHotel is the first Italian environmentally sustainable hotel brand and the first to obtain the ItalianEnvironmental Quality Seal for accommodation facilities. It gathers together 130 structures including hotels, B&Bs, farmhouses, period residences, and multi-building or integrated hotels, in the most atmospheric settings in Italy. Founded in 2007 through the initiative of a group of green hoteliers with the editing of the “Guide to environmentally sustainable accommodation facilities”, Ecoworldhotel immediately received great acclaim: for example, it won the 2011 Environmental Enterprise Award. A distinct feature of the affiliation is the series of requirements and parameters – 15 obligatory and 75 optional – which determine a structure’s possibility of acquiring the Ecoworldhotel environmental quality seal and being classified in accordance with the innovative eco-leaf system. From 1 to 5, following the traditional hotel classification; on the basis of the commitment to the use of technologies involving low environmental impact and to using energy from renewable sources. EcoWorldHotel certification is valid for two years. The brands most important strengths also include its Purchase Group, specialized in eco-friendly, organic and green hotel supplies. But it is also a landmark for companies and end consumers with a green spirit.
