Hotel Gallia, per gli appassionati del lusso

Milano. Mancano ancora pochi mesi e la città italiana cosmopolita per eccellenza  tornerà ad avere un pezzo della sua storia: l’hotel Gallia. Il cinque stelle aprirà all’insegna della joint venture tra Katara Hotel, la compagnia araba di proprietà e gestione alberghiera che ha acquisito la struttura e il brand The Luxury Collection® di Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Renovation totale curata dallo studio Marco Piva,  un solo obiettivo: far girar la testa ai Globetrotter di tutto il mondo e far tornare a pieno titolo questo maestoso hotel,  nel gotha dell’ospitalità iconica. Certo, l’Expo ci ha messo lo zampino ma lasciatecelo dire, ci voleva. Il Gallia, all’ombra della Stazione Centrale, proprio (ci) mancava. Mancavano le sue atmosfere Belle Epoque e i suoi grandi spazi ad alto tasso di tecnologia. Da novembre la città ritroverà 235 camere e suite, un ristorante gourmet, un bar panoramico sul roof top dell’hotel, un lounge & Cigar Bar, una spa di 1000 mq e un centro congressi di 1000 mq. Ma soprattutto …. un concentrato di lusso allo stato puro e reinterpretato in stile contemporaneo.

Milan. In just a few more months Italy’s most cosmopolitan city will once again possess a piece of its history: Hotel Gallia. The five-star will open under the aegis of a joint venture between Katara Hotel, the Qatari hotel ownership and management company which has acquired the structure, and The Luxury Collection® brand of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. The entire renovation project was overseen by Studio Marco Piva, with a solitary objective: to blow the minds of the world’s Globetrotters and return this majestic hotel to its rightful place among the pantheon of iconic hospitality providers. Of course, the Expo has had some influence too, but it has to be said: it was about time. In the shadow of the Central Station, Gallia was sorely missed. Missed for its Belle Époque atmosphere and for its ample, technology-filled spaces. As of November, the city will have another 235 rooms and suites, a gourmet restaurant, a panoramic bar on the rooftop of the hotel, a lounge & Cigar Bar, a 1000-m2 spa and a 1000-m2 convention centre. But especially … a concentration of pure, unadulterated luxury reinterpreted in contemporary style.
